For AAP, 75 years of making a difference in the lives of children

As the American Academy of Pediatrics' 75th year comes to a close at the organization's National Conference and Exhibition in Washington, D.C., its members — now 60,000 strong — are taking time to examine some of the successes that have contributed to advancements in children's health. Among the most notable AAP contributions to children's health over the past 75 years are an increase in immunization rates and a lower incidence of infectious diseases, such as polio, measles, chickenpox and pneumonia.
